PRESS RELEASE

Heart and Capital Nigeria Limited, a leading Agric revolutionary company held an interactive session in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital with youth farmers and young agribusiness enthusiasts to discuss pressing issues underpinning the agricultural industry in contemporary Nigeria and proffer workable solutions.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mallam Umar Adelodun, speaking on the objective of the event, disclosed to journalists that, “the event was born out of the company’s goal to foster awareness and growth in the agricultural sector. “…we want Agrowth to serve as a platform for youths in agribusiness as well as agribusiness enthusiasts to learn, network, and share ideas on innovation, trends, prospects, and challenges underpinning the industry in the globe and Nigeria in particular.”

A participant at the event, Mr. Sheriff Abdulkareem, a livestock farmer, in his remark revealed that; “no time is better than now to have an interactive session with people with wealth of experiences in Agribusiness. Quite often than not, young agropreneurs like myself tend to be in a dilemma when we want to kick start agribusinesses because of the risks involved but I believe this gathering killed the fear of the unknown that must have existed in some individuals.

Similarly, Mr, James Emmanuel, an I.T expert, commented that “the session was both inspiring and informative for me and I am especially impressed with the applicability of the technology in modern agriculture and how far our young farmers have gone in using technology in this sector… I think we can still do better but we are already on the right track.”

Mallam Umar further reiterated the need for other big players in the agricultural sector to come up with similar initiative while further assuring participants of subsequent edition of the event to foster collaboration among agropreneurs as “…the future is agriculture and the future of agriculture is in partnerships.”
